FAQs
Where the data comes from, how the overlap is calculated, and how to get in touch.
Where does the ETF holdings data come from?
Holdings are transcribed from each fund's underlying basket as published by the Pakistan Stock Exchange. The current snapshot is Aug 17, 2026, covering 9 funds. Equity funds are quoted per 10,000 units; HBL Total Treasury is quoted per 1,000 units, as PSX publishes it.
How is the overlap calculated?
Holdings overlap is the count of shared symbols divided by the larger fund's holdings count. Weight overlap sums the smaller of the two share-weights for each shared symbol. The per-symbol figure is the Dice coefficient: 2 × min(a, b) ÷ (a + b). Selecting three funds applies those same formulas to each of the three pairs in turn.
Can I compare more than two funds at once?
Up to three. Choose two funds and a third slot appears, which you can leave empty. The diagram then counts the symbols in every part of the overlap, and the tables below it break the selection down pair by pair, then symbol by symbol with each fund's weight in it. Three is the ceiling because a Venn diagram on four sets cannot be drawn with circles at all, and beyond three most of its compartments would be empty.
How often is the data updated?
Whenever the exchange republishes a fund's basket. Each fund page carries its own last-updated date, and the current snapshot across all funds is Aug 17, 2026.
Is this investment advice?
No. It compares published baskets only. It does not account for price, tracking error, expense ratios or liquidity, and it is not investment advice.
